The owner/managers were attentive and responsive to questions from the initial rental process through the stay including advise on local places to eat and assistance with kayak rentals (which they provided at a reasonable rate delivered to the home). we rentet the Lanikai Beach Bungalow for 11 days. One recommendation is that you wash out the trash containers that go out to the street -- stinky now. Everything about this home and location was terrific. We had to walk to the big beach, and the reason for why we choose this house was the beach in front, as we had invited our grandsons along, as well as our daughters and son-in-law. The Kaiwa Ridge Trail (aka the Lanikai Pillbox Hike), an intermediate hike, starts and ends in Lanikai, and provides stunning views of Lanikai Beach and the Twin Mokes. We could easily have staryed in a 5-star hotel inWaikiki for the same price!! The costumer service, we recieved was good but we had to call several times for toiletpaper and we were asked, if we could tidy the house, so people could come see it, as it is for sale!! This location cannot be beat! We are proud members of the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau, Kailua Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau with an A+ Rating. The ocean is steps away. Bronson the agent helped us find this wonderful property, and we didn't want to leave! All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. We enjoyed our vacation and this home. Overall, it was an amazing experience for our family being right on the water with those amazing views and sounds. Right on the water a little way down from the sand beach. The house could not be better located near the beach and the views are unparalleled. Away from the mainstream tourist area it makes it the perfect getaway. There are rocks in the water but we wore "water shoes" and they worked fine. 4 cars fit easily in the garage and driveway. A little night fishing from the back yard rewarded us with a nice size snapper which ended up on the barbeque grill the next evening. It is an easy walk a few houses down to Lanikai Beach. Great place for a family vacation! Kitchen cabinets were repainted in and out and the painter's left some items inside and smudges on dishes. There's nothing better than falling asleep and waking up to the ocean breeze and the sound of waves. We loved waking up to watch all the kitesurfers and kayakers, not to mention the hona. We saw them every day right in front of the home. The location was fabulous, and it was so homey that you felt it truly was your home. Easy drive to Kailua for food and supplies. The Welcome Basket filled with local treats like Macademia Nut Chocolate and Kona Coffee was also a nice addition.
